Jason's Surgery

Jason had his shoulder operated on two weeks after Olivia's birth. He had initially injured it 1o+ years ago but didn't realize it and has subsequently agitated it for the last while. It all came to head during this years volleyball season and one too many spikes injured it beyond tolerable pain tolerance.

Close up of the stitching, his surgeon was one of the best out here, though his sewing job lacks finesse.

He had to wear a brace sling for two weeks post-op that immobilized his arm and shoulder and then after that he switched to a regular sling for a month.

So far he is healing up right on par and will start physical therapy within the next couple weeks!!

Olivia Iris was born on Feb 5th at 12:18am weighing in at 10 lbs 6 oz and 23 inches long. She came super duper fast and therefore was born in our bathroom and not at the hospital like we had intended. Everything went fast and well and mom and baby made a dramatic entrance in an ambulance to the hospital. Because she came so fast she did have some facial bruising but that cleared up within two weeks. Her labor start to finish was about 4 hours.

Oh yeah and by the way the baby was born...

Sorry to post this so late but Olivia came in dramatic fashion on February 5, 2011. More on that later. She was a chunker (and still is) weighing in at 10 pounds 6 ounces an 23 inches long. I will post more in the next couple of days and get some pictures up.
