Holiday Cookies!!

We love the holidays, especially Christmas and so we made Christmas cookies, the boys cut out the shapes and I decorated them (so that we could keep them unlicked before we gave them out!)

Santa Barbara Zoo

Preston wanted to take pictures of the animals and so this is his collection, the only one that I took is this first one of the two boys, he did the rest!
Monkey man!
Nice one mommy...

Penguins

Mormon Battalion Visitors Center

While in California and needing to blow some time while waiting for mom's surgery, we went to the newly renovated Mormon Battalion Visitor's Center and had a blast. The boys loved the wagon outside the entrance. Preston kept asking where our horses were.
Damien checking out the view from the bell tower.

Damien learning how to play the fiddle.

Preston playing the fiddle. This is why he has been asking Santa for a violin. He thought he was hot stuff!
The sister missionary helping him out.
Panning for Gold.
Dressing up as soldiers and getting ready to march.
Damien's gun was twice his height and his hat was big enough to take a bath in, it was quite funny how he insisted on carrying the gun!

Santa!!

Visiting my parents in California we went to their ward Christmas Party and the boys got to talk with Santa. Damien wants Choo-choos (Trains) and Preston asked for a violin (he asks for the oddest things!)
Merry Christmas!!

Preston's Transformer Birthday Party

Part of the gang!
Transformer cake

Ettoile was very much into her mask and cape combo, in fact she decided that wearing it upside down was the next fashion "it" and wore it that way the whole party!

Preston opening gifts...finally. I have been asked weekly since August when it was going to be his birthday.

Blowing out the candles. Damien was there to lend a hand (or pair of lips) if Preston was having trouble.

Pinata time! The kids had a blast. We had to rig a system with Jason holding a broomstick with the pinata tied on it, at times it got a bit dicy as kids were taking some major league swings!

Aden modeling the transformer masks everyone got.

Halloween Costumes

Jason's Glenn Campbell (he kepts singing Rhinestone Cowboy the whole evening)
Preston was a dinosaur (though under protest, he wanted to be a ninja or power ranger and I said the costumes were too thin and he'd freeze at the trunk or treating)

Damien our skunk, Pepe Le Pew!! Jason had to help me with the tail. For some reason it just wouldn't stay up, so he used fishing line and attached it to his head, smart man! This costume I made, the dinosaur I bought at a ridiculously low price, love that!
