It's My Party & I'll Cry if I Want to!!! (Dec. 1st)

Saturday the 1st was a crazy day. We were on fast forward most of the morning as I was running to meetings, selling our entertainment center and TV, cleaning the house, and trying to frost a cake all before noon. We then rushed down to Peggy's house to prepare for the 2pm party deadline. Preston sneaked in a nap during the car rides but wasn't as rested as I would (and everyone else would) have liked him to be and was a bit on the whiny side. We prepped all of the snacks and finished decorating the cake before most of the guests arrived and had help with the streamers (compliments of Heather!!). During the hustle and bustle of everything Preston decided he wanted to touch the glass screen on the fireplace. Of course his fingers were a bit torched (but I think that more than anything he was tired to being on mommy's back burner) and wanted all the kisses and cuddling that was owed him. We had a good turn out and we snacked, opened presents, and ate cake. So all in all it was a good birthday party! Whew!! Thanks to all who came and partied with us, we had a good time!
