California Trip

Home Again!

Well after an extended trip to California to visit grandparents and attend the long awaited wedding of Dusty, we are back and already missing the lovely weather we had on vacation!! We were living it up in the 70 degree weather wearing shorts and sandals the whole time we were out, I brought pants but didn't even unpack them, it was great. We visited grandpa and marmie first and had fun hanging out helping spruce up the rental property. Preston enjoyed the pool and really got a kick out of the battery operated Nemo fish that would swim in the pool, as well as petting the family dog Missy. After about a week, we packed up and headed north to visit grandma and papa. We had everyone down for the weekend and it was great to see and play with all the cousins. We then stayed a couple days after everyone left and ate fresh strawberries to our hearts content. Preston became good friends with Delta the dog and would even scold her when she would try to sneak into the house, (much to the enjoyment of Papa!) and we had fun bathing and even walking her. All in all, it was a great trip, thanks for putting us up and having fun with us!!

Easter Egg Hunts!

Since he doesn't quite have the concept of finding the eggs down to a science yet, this year the egg hunts (one in our living room and the other at a neighbor's house) were prompted, though he did figure out that if you chucked the egg on the ground hard enough, then yummy stuff would come flying out, so maybe he did have the idea, make everybody else help him find them and then smash them for the goodies!! But we had a great time with Heather, Aaron, and the kids and feasted on a yummy Easter dinner before heading back home. Thanks for hosting us guys!!

Our Guests

Emily and Aden escaped the wintry bliss of the mid-west to join us for a mini-vacation! They were out the 11th-24th and split their time between us and grandma and grandpa Tate. Preston absolutely loved having a little buddy around and was quite bummed when he no longer had his cousin to hang out with 24 hours a day. We played at the park, Discovery Gateway, and the Seasame Street Body exhibit. We had a memorable time with Emily and Aden and can't wait till we see them again!!

Fun Times at Discovery Gateway

We love Discovery Gateway! Preston loves all the fun activities he can play with and I love that we have somewhere to go in the winter that is indoors and warm! Our buddy William and his mom Melissa have a year pass and are allowed up to 4 guests each time they go, so we've been invited on many occasions to get out of the house and have a couple hours of fun. Here are some pictures from the last time we went.

Sweet Thrift Store Find

Preston and I like to hit up thrift stores when we get cabin fever and need a change. These suspenders were from such an outting, don't they just scream late 70's early 80's? And best of all, they were only $2, Preston loves them!

Snow Days

Preston loves to go outside in the snow and so every day we try and have some snow time so he can get the wiggles out.
